Some Tips For Home

You know how I said to make home a heaven? Well my home definitely isnt a heaven. I live with my mom, brother, and grandparents temporarily. My grandma isnt the type to bake cookies for me, and neither is she the type of grandma that demands respect. Either one of those I love. Shes a bit of a coward around people, and shes kind of nasty sometimes. So naturally I get irratated at her. Then theres my grandpa who just watches TV all the time, who bosses everybody around. I dont think he deserves repect since all he does is sit like a lump on his chair. My brother, whos so, so sweet sometimes, like when I read to him, but just a jerk the other times. And when I say jerk, I mean it. He threatens to kill me, twists stories around so I'm to blame, and argues with everything I say. And theyre big arguments, sicne he always has to have the last word. I'm pretty stubborn, I know that, but if I just keep on arguing with him, hell just get violent. So I'm usually the one who stops the argument, but I still get in trouble for being the "instigator."
Truthfully, I'd just like a nice peaceful place to come home after school, but, unfortunately, thats not going to happen. And thats why I'm stressed all the time, and believe me its not healthy. Speaking from experience, I recommend that you all make home a safe haven... that should be your first step in a better, more relaxed life. School is stressing enough without home to worry about.

Clean your room. I hate cleaning, but after Ive organized my whole room, I feel so accomplished and proud and more relaxed that I dont have to stare at all my dirty clothes everywhere.
Reposition your room. After you clean it, of course. I think its so much fun to have a total remodled room, or even if you just move your bed to the other side of your room, its just so much fun to see!
Do your homework first thing when you get home. Even if you want to relax, just get the hard stuff over with so that you have that comfortable feeling of a free, stress-free evening. Then you can watch TV, read, eat, with a peace of mind that you dont have to worry about anything for the rest of the night.
If your mom yells at you to do a chore, just do it. Get it done quickly, but make sure that you dont do it so sloppy that shell notice, so you can just go back to what you were doing without someone yelling in your ear.
